Our approach

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.

What this website does

• Pages can be navigated with a keyboard, including the menu, accordions and forms, with a visible focus indicator.
• Text and background colours are chosen to meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text.
• Headings, landmarks and a “Skip to content” link help you move around each page.
• Form fields have visible labels, helper text and clear error messages.
• Meaningful images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
• Animation is reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Text can be resized up to 200% without losing content, and tap targets are sized for touch screens.

Known limitations

Some content is provided by third parties, such as an online booking tool or an embedded map, and may not meet the same standards. A phone option is always available as an alternative.

Standards

We use widely recognised accessibility guidelines as a reference for this work. We do not claim a formal conformance level at this time.
